THE DINOSAUR DISCOVERY EXPERIENCE
The Magical Story Elves are experts in entertaining children, and we know how to take your students on an exciting adventure using fun, engaging and thought-provoking characters to cover key educational topics and themes (science, history & literature) along the way.
With a background in theatre in education and a talented team of professional actors and primary school teachers we can provide a range of educational experiences, and shows for school groups, museums or historical buildings including engaging, hands-on workshops to support the curriculum.
Theatre and drama are a fantastic way to enrich learning and we aspire for this learning to continue even after the session is over.
That’s why we have created additional learning packs containing lots of engaging activities themed around our performance/workshops and key texts to support teachers in creating links across the curriculum after our visit.
Workshop:
Mary Anning is brought to life in this hands-on fossil hunting workshop, taught by one of our teamed dressed as a Palaeontologist, Dino ranger or Mary Anning herself. This workshop is guaranteed to catch the attention of your students. Available with and without the below shows.

We are based in Hertfordshire, so will charge the following per mile to cover the cost of petrol etc.
· £1 extra per mile over 25 miles of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
· Deposit payment of 50% up front to confirm your booking.
· Full payment must be paid 14 days before the event.

- Available as an add on to the workshops and on its own

(The puppeteer can only stay inside the dinosaur for 20 mins at a time for safety reasons)

The Greatest Fossil Hunter Who Ever Lived – An Educational Show
Meet Mary Anning the greatest fossil hunter of all time and travel to the beaches of Lyme Regis in the 1800’s. Mary found the first ever Dino Skeleton at the age or 12 years old and now she is looking for her next big find. Can you become a palaeontologist and help Mary search the beaches for fossils? If you look hard enough, you might even find a Dinosaur skeleton or Megalodon tooth. Join the Magical Story Elves team in this exciting, fossil filled, educational experience which will leave your students wanting to learn more.

The Dino Time Machine
Our fossil hunters love dinosaurs a lot. In fact, they have spent their whole lives studying these amazing old creatures, but there is always more to learn.
They set up camp in the modern-day jungle, a site where Dinosaurs were known to roam. They plan to use Babsy the mad scientist’s time machine to take them back in time to meet their favourite dinosaurs in person.
While they wait for Babsy to set it up, they are visited by other jungle creatures included Leo the Lion and many other amazing animals too. Oh no a very cheeky Monkey damages the time machine which leaves an open doorway and transports Terry the T Rex and his Baby Brother Rex into present day. They quickly devise a plan to train the dinosaurs and send them back to the past. Join us on this exciting prehistoric adventure filled with music, fun and games along the way. Can you help us return the dinosaurs?

Please note the animatronic T rex is quite large and will need a safe storage space while not in use. Usually easier for the children to meet him outside as he sometimes struggles to get through doors.
The Jurassic Theme Park – A Fun Show
Join our park rangers on the exotic Island of Mambo where a new safari park has just opened. This park is like no other in the world because this park not only has animals, but it also has dinosaurs. Its opening day and the VIP guests have arrived to see the park for the very first time. Disaster strikes when a power cut causes all the electric to fail. Some of the animals and the dinosaurs manage to escape their cages, so it’s up to the park rangers to save the day. Join the Magical Story Elves team in this interactive, fun filled safari adventure with music, dancing, games and much, much more.
